The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation came to OBERLAND to build an awareness campaign that fights stigma and promotes visibility of people living with paralysis. We ignited a movement for people within the community to share their stories and speak out against ableism.
A PSA broadcasted the message across national television while social media and a microsite housed an outpouring of user generated content from the paralysis/SCI community. In its first three days, the campaign drove a 5% increase in Instagram followers for the Foundation. See Us doubled campaign goals for participation and engagement on Instagram.
We used a simple collage to emphasize our subject’s personalities through bright, vibrant portraiture, de-emphasizing their context in a wheelchair.
Following the success of the See Us campaign, the Reeve Foundation asked us to refresh their brand guidelines based on the campaign visual language.
